2008FEB11 - 19. TIME TO ACT… Ireland’s government supports renewable wind energy

19. TIME TO ACT… Ireland’s government supports renewable wind energy. To stimulate the growth of offshore wind farms, Ireland is subsidizing the industry with a supportive price of US $203 per megawatt hour. This is part of a greater scheme to lessen the country’s dependence on imported fossil fuel, and take advantage of local renewable energy sources.

We salute you Ireland for evolving your country towards a greener future. May the people flourish in grace and sustainable prosperity.
