2008FEB11 - 14. TIME TO ACT…Ontario offers local incentives for tree planting to counteract climate change

14. TIME TO ACT…Ontario offers local incentives for tree planting to counteract climate change. In Owen Sound, Canada, the Trees Ontario group is hosting a free workshop to teach local residents tree planting techniques. Those attending will also be introduced to the Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program, which offers up to 75% reduction in property taxes for tree planting to offset global warming.

What a great idea! Bravo Ontario agencies and Canada for this generous opportunity. May more and more trees flourish to beautify and preserve the health of your lovely land.
