Lionardo the Lion: Halo, and welcome back to Noteworthy News - Positive News for a Righteous World. I’m Lionardo the Lion, with a tip that is friendly to the planet. You might want to go walking or bicycling and try to avoid driving around town whenever possible. This is where fuel consumption is twice as high as on the highway because of the many times we must stop and reaccelerate while driving within the town or city. Thank you for tuning in, and now let’s see the weather in some cities around the world!

In environmental news, American company General Motors (GM) has partnered with Coskata Incorporated of Illinois, USA for an eco-friendly project. They will develop ethanol-based biofuels from typical waste products, such as secondhand tires and plant matter. The new method of biofuel production is far more efficient than traditional methods, as it uses less water and the resulting product will only cost US$1 per gallon. In addition, it does not use crops which could otherwise be used for food. GM plans to have their first commercial plant operating by 2011, which will produce up to 100 million gallons of ethanol per year.

Thank you General Motors and Coskata! Heaven bless your endeavors to help sustain our beloved planet.

In humanitarian news, Tanzania hospital receives donation from Korean embassy for hospital equipment. The regional hospital of Mount Meru in Tanzania received over US$50,000 in medical equipment. After Dr. Kim Jung Woo of Korea volunteered as a surgeon at the hospital, he became aware of the need for a wide range of surgical medical equipment. The South Korean government was then contacted and donated $52,000 for Dr. Kim to purchase equipment. The medical equipment will assist in the 2500 operations performed annually at the hospital.

Thank you, and God bless Dr. Kim for your dedicated volunteer work, and South Korea for your kind donation to help improve medical services at Mount Meru Hospital. May the warm-hearted people of Tanzania be bestowed with good health and happiness.

Up next, American holiday resorts provide sumptuous vegetarian options. We’ll thank God for the abundant gifts in our lives; will return soon. More Noteworthy News when we return, right here on Supreme Master Television.

In health news, chefs at many popular resorts in the United States are providing delicious gourmet vegetarian meals. Some holiday resorts are teaming up with local farmers to be able to offer organic vegetarian choices that are grown nearby. Other resorts have a “Shop with Chef” option, in which small groups are invited to accompany the chef on his or her trips to the local market and later participate in vegetarian cooking demonstrations. Thank you so much for this wonderful news!

Heaven bless all chefs abundantly for your enthusiasm to offer vegetarian options. May all be graced to embrace the vegetarian diet: it is life-sparing and Earth-saving.

Time to share some laughter with a joke told by Supreme Master Ching Hai. The joke is entitled “Faster, Please!”

A customer keep edging the driver of the taxi, “Say, can you go any faster?” The driver said, “Yes sir, but I am not allowed to leave my taxi cab.”

And now for our viewer’s heartline…
