At the bustling 2008 Taipei International Book Exhibition at the Taipei World Trade Center, a large number of international guests from various fields convened for a discussion about this rare and fascinating testimony of the grace and inner beauty of the animals in the wild. Joining the symposium via a videoconference was the honored guest and author Supreme Master Ching Hai, who had graciously accepted the invitation to answer questions from the media and public.

Through her great patience and love, Supreme Master Ching Hai earned the trust of animals rarely encountered by most of us. She described her unique experience of coming in close contact with these noble wilds.

Supreme Master Ching Hai:
I was really, really touched and feel very honored. I don’t remember ever feeling so happy! Being around the wilds expands our hearts and leads us to a beautiful meadow of life that was totally untouched by prejudice and blame. We will just be there, in the now, merging with nature, unspoiled and uncomplicated, ever so grateful of the knowledge of the unknown, delighted in the indulgence of Mother Nature’s love.

Supreme Master Ching Hai:
They were thankful for the food provided, but I was more grateful for the precious transmitted information. A fairy tale that unveiled itself, to let us know that life is the same for human and animals, insects and trees and minerals alike. Because life embraces all with love and nurturing, and that we all can communicate and understand each other, thus we understand ourselves in a deeper level of consciousness.

In helping us understand the splendid qualities embodied by the wild animals, Supreme Master Ching Hai inspires all to live in purity and harmony with Mother Nature.

Supreme Master Ching Hai:
Let us remind ourselves that all life is precious and that we should do our utmost to preserve life and our wonderful planet. As long as we live here, it’s our home, home of all co-inhabitants , to preserve the environment, also to protect life and our self, because we are all interrelated.

“The Noble Wilds” is a beautifully illustrated book that allows us to partake of the wondrous realms of the animals and invites us to imagine a world where all beings co-exist in perfect harmony with one another and our planet. We sincerely thank the author, Supreme Master Ching Hai, for this true encouragement that we all become noble stewards of God’s precious creations.
