This group eventually became Global Elders, a gathering of international elder statesmen, peace activists, and humanitarians devoted to using their wealth of experience to bring harmony and peace to the world. At the inauguration of the Global Elders, on President Nelson Mandela’s 89th birthday, Peter Gabriel sang his famous anti-apartheid song, “Biko,” which moved the eminent Archbishop Tutu to tears. Thank you, Mr. Peter Gabriel, for your dedication to human rights and peace building. May you have a joyous birthday with your loved ones.

In renewable energy news, Northern Ireland invests over £1.3 million in a renewable energy project for schools. The “Switched on Schools” program in Northern Ireland is outfitting a total of 35 rural schools with solar panels and wind turbines to generate electricity. In addition, online educational programs will be made available to instruct young people about eco-friendly development. Rural Development Minister Michelle Gildernew said: “Educating children to be aware of environmental issues will not only benefit the rural community, but also the world around them. Even little changes made by children can make a big difference to global issues.”
Heaven bless Northern Ireland for your green initiative, and thank you! May schools around the world continue to teach children about the importance and urgency of sustainable living.
In community news, in Denver USA, local builders donate more than US$600,000 in materials and labor to help build housing for homeless people. As a result of this generosity, HomeAid Colorado, a non-profit organization that connects those that are providing care to the homeless with professional homebuilders, has six building projects scheduled for 2008. Ms. Laura Brayman, executive director of HomeAid said, “Because builders are willing to donate so much, HomeAid can fulfill its mission, and Colorado's transitionally homeless have dignified housing in which to rebuild their lives.” That is fantastic!
Many thanks, and may the Providence abundantly bless HomeAid and the kind builders of Denver, Colorado who are helping their brethren in need. May the light of Heaven shine on all to have warm and safe homes.

Please join us for a good laugh with a joke told by Supreme Master Ching Hai. It is entitled “Double Take.”
There are twin brothers. They always dress the same, grow the same beard, wear the same hat, same shoes, everything the same, speak the same way at the same time, look exactly the same. So one day they went into the bar, and there was an old man already sitting there. And he kept looking at them both and feeling kind of confused. So both brothers laughed and said, “Yeah, yeah, I know. Most people react like that. Because we are twins, so you couldn't recognize. You thought, how come, right?” So the old man said, “Four of you. All twins?”
And now for our viewer’s heartline…
